Riverside area crime report

In an effort to keep the community informed of what's happening within its borders the Southside Pride will now be publishing the Minneapolis Police Department's official reported crime statistics within the Riverside neighborhood. The following crime report covers the period between 3/1/04 and 5/4/04.

Hiawatha neighborhood reported 11 cases of larceny, 11 burglaries, 4 cases of auto theft, 3 cases of aggravated assault and 1 case of arson.

The Howe neighborhood reported 19 burglaries, 19 cases of larceny, 3 cases of auto theft, 2 cases of arson, 2 cases of aggravated assault, 1 rape and 1 robbery.

The Cooper neighborhood reported 15 cases of larceny, 6 instances of auto theft, 4 burglaries, 2 robberies, 1 case of aggravated assault and 1 case of arson.

The Longfellow neighborhood reported 130 cases of larceny, 23 burglaries, 17 cases of auto theft, 5 cases of aggravated assault, 3 cases of arson, 3 robberies and 2 cases of rape.

The Seward neighborhood reported 33 cases of larceny, 24 cases of auto theft, 21 burglaries, 6 robberies, 5 cases of aggravated assault, 3 cases of rape, 2 cases of arson and 1 homicide.
