Community crime report

In an effort to keep the neighborhood informed of criminal goings on, the Southside Pride will be publishing the official area crime reports of the Minneapolis police department.

Between 3/1/05 and 3/31/05 the Powderhorn Park neighborhood reported 27 cases of larceny, 10 burglaries, 9 cases of aggravated assault, 8 cases of auto theft, 5 robberies, and 1 case of rape.

Between 3/1/05 and 3/31/05 the Bancroft neighborhood reported 4 cases of larceny, 4 cases of auto theft, 3 burglaries, 2 cases of rape, 1 robbery and 1 case of aggravated assault.

During the same period of time the Bryant neighborhood reported 4 cases of larceny, 4 cases of aggravated assault, 3 burglaries, 3 cases of auto theft and 1 case of rape.

Also between 3/1/05 and 3/31/05 the Central neighborhood reported 11 cases of aggravated assault, 10 cases of auto theft, 9 cases of larceny, 5 robberies, 2 burglaries and 2 cases of rape.

During the same period the Corcoran neighborhood reported 11 cases of larceny, 3 cases of auto theft, 2 robberies, 1 burglary and 1 case of rape.

The Standish neighborhood for the month of March reported 12 burglaries, 8 cases of larceny, 7 cases of auto theft and 1 case of rape.

April crime statistics were not available at press time.
