Community crime report

In an effort to keep the neighborhood informed of criminal goings on, the Southside Pride will be publishing the official area crime reports of the Minneapolis police department.

Between 4/1/05 and 4/30/05 the Powderhorn Park neighborhood reported 15 cases of larceny, 9 cases of auto theft, 9 burglaries, 8 robberies, 8 cases of aggravated assault and 2 cases of rape.

Between 4/1/05 and 4/30/05 the Bancroft neighborhood reported 6 burglaries, 4 cases of larceny, 4 cases of auto theft and 2 robberies.

During the same period of time the Bryant neighborhood reported 5 cases of larceny, 4 cases of auto theft, 4 burglaries, 2 robberies and 1 case of aggravated assault.

Also between 4/1/05 and 4/30/05 the Central neighborhood reported 24 cases of larceny, 14 cases of auto theft, 12 burglaries, 11 cases of aggravated assault, 11 robberies, 1 rape, 1 homicide and 1 case of arson.

During the same period the Corcoran neighborhood reported 4 burglaries, 3 cases of larceny, 3 cases of auto theft, 2 robberies, 2 cases of aggravated assault and 1 case of rape.

The Standish neighborhood for the month of April reported 7 cases of larceny, 5 burglaries, 3 cases of auto theft, 2 robberies and 1 case of aggravated assault.

The Phillips neighborhood for the month of April reported 53 cases of larceny, 30 cases of aggravated assault, 28 cases of auto theft, 22 burglaries, 20 robberies, 4 cases of arson and 2 cases of rape.
