Letters to the editor

Hi John,

I spotted three falcons this morning in Powderhorn Park, right up the hill from the gazebo, in the tallest branches of a couple of trees.

One of them was very vocal — the call was kind of a loud, extended whistle. It sounded like one of the calls I’ve heard red-tailed hawks make out in the country. Wouldn’t that be wonderful if the falcons stayed in our park?

Thanks very much for your column. I look forward to reading it every month.

Warm regards,
Liz Tufte
