Do It Green! Workshops in July: Eco-Consumerism

Each Minnesotan creates over 2,000 pounds of garbage every year! We now live in a time period in which we are creating more waste than any other time in history. With technology changing every day with cell phones, computers and other electronics as well as our busy lives getting busier, many of us are replacing the old with the new before they even break and choosing convenience over the “green” choice.
There are many changes that can be easy and have a big impact on the environment. Check out these tips and join us for our upcoming Eco Consumerism workshops this July:
ECO CONSUMER TIPS: Think about all of your purchasing decisions throughout the day in an environmentally-friendly way
• Buy less packaged and processed foods
• Choose locally produced items over “Made in China”
• Reuse first before buying new
• Most importantly, think about if you need it to begin with—Reduce!
