‘Tis the Green Season…
Simplify your holidays.

Don’t overdo it! Enjoy spending time
with friends and family in simple
ways. This will be less stressful
for you and lighter on the planet.

Support local, eco-friendly businesses.

With a struggling economy, it is more important than ever to keep our local economy and planet healthy. Shop locally for food and gifts. Have a low waste holiday season.

Eliminate wrapping paper (it’s not recyclable!), use real dishware for parties, and shop with reusable shopping bags instead of plastic or paper. Give thoughtful, long-lasting,eco-friendly gifts. Ask yourself, could this gift end up in a landfill
by next year’s holiday season?

Consider making your own gifts or give homemade gift certificates for a homemade dinner or massage.

Decorate green. Decorate with eco-friendly, reusable materials. Avoid tinsel or disposable decorations. Consider solar and LED holiday lighting. Plan your route.

Reduce transportation miles by grouping your errands together.
