Nathan Barlow, on the left, appears as Edmund. He lives in the Central Neighborhood. Erin Hampe is Lucy and Teresa Marie Doran is Susan. The children seem trapped for a moment in a magical closet/wardrobe that will eventually take them into the fanastical world of Narnia. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, based on the story by C. S. Lewis, will run at the Children’s Theatre through January 3.

TCGMC will perform some of the world's most beautiful melodies, including Gwyneth Walker's “The Tree of Peace” inspired by the Quaker poem “O Brother Man” by John Greenleaf Whittier and Vincent Persichetti's dramatic “Song of Peace.” The chorus will also sing of peace in Swedish (Jul, Jul, Strålande Jul) and Hebrew (Ose shalom bimromav), with a stylistic nod to Olde English (Wolcom Yole!). As a special treat, look for your favorite TV character in the chorus' rendition of “St. Nick at Night.” For tickets call the box office at 612-624-2345 or go to www. northrop .umn.edu.
