Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
I just want to sincerely thank Senator Linda Berglin for becoming a co-author of the Minnesota Health Act this session, a bill that creates a single-payer universal health care system for all Minnesotans.
The Minnesota Health Act (SF118/HF135) creates the Minnesota Health Plan, covering 100 percent of all doctor visits and prescriptions plus dental, mental health and much more. Coverage will be completely independent of employment status, and premiums will be based on individual ability to pay—a huge support to families during these tough economic times.
With the leadership of Senator Berglin behind this bill along with the support of Representatives Karen Clark and Jeff Hayden, all of our SD61 legislators, I am confident that our goal of health care for all will become a reality. Thank you so much for your continued efforts toward this end.
