BY DAVE PORTER
Given the presence of the five radical wealth-driven wingnuts so firmly screwed onto our Supreme Court, the likelihood of any significant access to our constitutional rights continues to be highly doubtful.
Ten percent of our population owns and controls 90 percent of our wealth and income—with 5 of those 10 percent owning 50 of that 90 percent. This is equivalent to Hawaii having half our money; Texas and Alabama having
40 percent; and the other 47 states—the folks doing the work and providing the cops and soldiers—left to squabble over the leftovers back in the scullery. And who pays the Social Security tax rate of 15 percent, with half of that diverted to the general treasury fund? And who pays income taxes on every dime they earn? Most definitely not the wealthy.
After all, they are entitled to our money, are they not? They own it, so “God must have made it that way, and He is never wrong, is He?” Pardon, m’lord. I hope your horse was not hurt when it ran over my little girl.
